Michael Gier is an award-winning director and producer. He’s also a television and film actor and has starred in Broadway musicals all over the country.
Since 2009, Michael has directed and produced hundreds of corporate, documentary, and film projects. His most recent documentaries, “Wounded Heroes” and “Healing the Heroes of 9/11,” are both award winning films featuring successful alternative treatments that help veterans, military, 1st responders, and anyone battling Post-Traumatic Stress get their lives back. Although there have been many films about Post-Traumatic Stress, these are the first films ever produced that feature solutions.
Because of the success of these films, Michael speaks all over the country and has worked with the Department of Homeland Security US Customs and Border Protection, Westgate Resorts, S&P Global, National Association of Social Workers, and has shared the stage with Members of Congress, Generals, and other military brass.
He has also been featured in Forbes, Psychology Today, American Legion, and other publications, and Michael has been the featured guest on dozens of local, national, and international TV & radio shows.
Chris Meek, co-founder of SoldierStrong, contacted Michael about producing a feature length documentary film, for release in 2026, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
Production began in February 2022, with Gier and his team traveling across the country to capture untold stories of heroism and resilience. By featuring personal narratives, the film aims to create a deeper understanding of the day that forever changed the nation and to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
