Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride

The Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride is a four-day cycling event held every September to honor the victims of the September 11 attacks and raise funds for the families of fallen law enforcement officers. The ride was founded in 2002 by retired NYPD Detective Robert De Paolis as a tribute to the lives lost on 9/11, starting with just a handful of officers cycling from the Pentagon to Ground Zero. Since then, it has grown into a major annual event involving hundreds of participants from across the country, all united by a shared mission of remembrance and support.

Join us for a special milestone event as we mark 25 years of remembrance, honor, and support for the families of fallen law enforcement officers.

This year’s route will take cyclists from New York City to historic Boston, tracing a powerful journey of unity and remembrance. Riders will travel through New York’s iconic landmarks, Long Island’s scenic coast, Mystic’s oceanfront roads, Rhode Island’s beaches and villages, and onward to the finish in downtown Boston.

The Tour de Force was founded in 2002 to honor the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks and to support the families of officers killed in the line of duty. What began as eight cyclists riding from the Pentagon to Ground Zero has grown into a national movement of remembrance and purpose.
