The Patriots Run (Overland Park, KS)
Proceeds from the Patriots Run benefit Folds of Honor Kansas City Chapter, a 501c3 non-profit providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled American Heroes and First Responders.
Participants begin the day early on September 13, 2025, with a Marathon and all Ultra events (individual Ultra, Light Team Relay, Heavy Team Relay) starting at 7 AM. The Marathon covers 26.2 miles (approximately 17 laps plus half a mile), while Ultra runners and relay teams aim to complete as many 1.5‑mile loops as possible within a 9‑hour, 11‑minute window ending at 4:11 PM; Heavy Relay teams must carry a 35 lb rucksack. Earlier on Friday, September 12, packet pick-up is scheduled from 4–7 PM at RoKC Olathe.
Later on race day, the Half Marathon begins at 1 PM after late registration opens at noon; it spans 13.1 miles (8 laps + 1.1 miles) with a 3‑hour, 11‑minute cutoff. The 5K kicks off at 3 PM, following its own late-registration period from 2–3 PM, and features a 1‑hour, 11‑minute cutoff to complete 3.1 miles.
