The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs are solemn events held across the U.S. to honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Participants climb the equivalent of 110 stories, symbolizing the height of the Twin Towers, to pay tribute to these heroes. These climbs are not timed races but acts of remembrance and solidarity. Funds raised support programs for the families of fallen firefighters and initiatives to reduce firefighter deaths. Events are organized by local volunteers, with options for in-person and virtual participation. To find or host a climb, visit firehero.org.
