Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride

The Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride is a four-day cycling event held every September to honor the victims of the September 11 attacks and raise funds for the families of fallen law enforcement officers. The ride was founded in 2002 by retired NYPD Detective Robert De Paolis as a tribute to the lives lost on 9/11, starting with just a handful of officers cycling from the Pentagon to Ground Zero. The 2025 ride will take place from September 11 to September 14, covering roughly 280 miles over the course of four days. This year’s route features scenic views through New Jersey, with stops between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Riders—many of whom are active or retired law enforcement officers—cover daily distances of 50 to 80 miles and are required to raise a minimum of $1,700 in donations. The ride is fully supported with professional bike mechanics, medical staff, and logistical volunteers ensuring a safe and successful journey for everyone involved.
